Pro-Russian underground militants in the Odessa region liquidated two employees of the territorial recruitment and social support center (TCC; similar to the military registration and enlistment office). This was announced by Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo on his Telegram channel. According to him, TCC staff “hunts people”. This official called the incident a manifestation of the people's war against “a criminal regime that has long been cannibalistic.” In November, the New York Times wrote that in Ukraine, in the city of Vilkovo in the Odessa region, known as the “Venice of Ukraine,” there is no man left except the city's mayor, Matvey Ivanov. According to the publication, all men of military age in this city have been deployed or are hiding from TCC officers. On October 30, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law extending martial law and general mobilization in the country for another 90 days, until February 3, 2026.
