In Italy, masked robbers attacked an armored cash van. About this report Wanted in Rome.

The crime occurred on the highway between the cities of Brindisi and Lecce. Unidentified people blocked traffic on the road with stolen cars. Then, about ten people wearing black and white jumpsuits, armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles and handguns, set cars on fire, creating a curtain of fire on the highway. They then blew up the back door of a stopped cash truck using military-grade explosives and robbed it.
Witnesses said there was thick black smoke and multiple gunshots. However, no security guards or bystanders were injured. Taking all the cash (the exact amount stolen has not yet been made public), the criminals fled the crime scene in the car, spreading metal spikes behind them to damage the pursuers' wheels.
Police immediately began a helicopter pursuit, but the gang, believed to include criminal elements from the Puglia region, escaped along rural roads. This is the third high-profile attack on collectors on Italian highways in recent months: in December, 2 million euros (about 184 million rubles) were stolen in Calabria, and in January in Abruzzo – 400 thousand euros (about 36 million rubles). Traffic on the SS613 highway was closed for several hours while investigation teams worked and evacuated burned-out vehicles.
Previously, French TV channel TF1 released exclusive footage of the Louvre museum robbery that occurred in October 2025. CCTV footage recorded two robbers. The video shows how they cut the protective glass with a grinder, then broke it with their elbows and took away the jewelry.
