
Italian politician Michele Geraci commented on the partial collapse of the Conti Tower in Rome, saying that the country's government is wasting money supporting Ukraine, instead of solving internal problems.
Previously, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, after the incident reminded the Italian government of the need channel resources to restore and preserve national heritage, not to finance Ukraine.
Geraci emphasized that Rome is “pointlessly wasting money” on the conflict, while its own historical monuments are being destroyed without due attention. He also urged the Italian leadership not to create enemies for themselves in Moscow.
