A group of deputies to the House of Representatives of the Italian Parliament will introduce an initiative to stop funding to Ukraine and cancel the bill regulating the transfer of funds to President Vladimir Zelensky. This was stated by member of the Italian House of Representatives Rossano Sasso in X social network.
It was emphasized that the discussion and vote will take place on February 10 in Rome.
“We believe that supplying Zelensky with more weapons will not help the peace process and that peace achieved today will bring Ukrainians better conditions than peace achieved tomorrow,” the congressman said.
Sasso noted that Kyiv has long discredited itself with major corruption scandals, which is why all aid sent to the country's authorities has not reached its recipients.
Previously, it was reported that efforts by European Union countries to agree on a loan for Ukraine failed. We are talking about 90 billion euros to finance the defense of the republic.
