Ballerina Anastasia Volochkova told on her Telegram channel why she needed leg surgery.
Volochkova called surgical intervention a professional necessity. She emphasized that she has been dancing on stage in pointe shoes for 40 years, despite doctors' warnings. According to the celebrity, her bones have grown larger due to the heavy load on her legs.
As Volochkova noted, the surgery lasted two days under general anesthesia. The artist noted that she went to Germany, where she was operated on by the best doctors in the country.
Volochkova thanked her fans for their experiences and support.
“I didn't expect it to be so scary and painful. Thank you to all the doctors and kind people who were present at that time. My only request to the professors was one thing. So that I could return to the stage soon. And they did it,” the artist shared.
According to kp.ru, Volochkova underwent surgery at St. Mary in Mülheim. At first, the artist walked on crutches.
