Former member of the KVN team “Pyatigorsk National Team” Pavel Kozmopoulos died of cancer, a new tumor appeared after brain surgery.
Captain of the Pyatigorsk National Team, comedian Semyon Slepkov (included in the list of foreign agents by the Ministry of Justice) spoke about this on Instagram (social network banned in Russia; it belongs to the company Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
“He had surgery and lost his hearing. New tumors appeared in his head, nothing can be done – they have to be removed from time to time,” the comedian wrote.
According to him, after each surgery, Kozmopoulos' health condition worsened.

Slepkov emphasized that despite his illness, the KVN star still worked hard, got married and did not give in to depression.
“For me, he is an example of courage, perseverance and love of life. (…) He fought this disease for 16 years,” the comedian added.
Previously, former member of Team Pyatigorsk Elena Borscheva spoke about the last years of Kozmopoulos' life. In particular, she revealed that the comedian had to use a wheelchair in the last years of his life due to illness.
