This year marks the 30th anniversary of the legendary musical project “Old songs about the main thing”, with the participation of the most famous domestic performers and even foreign stars. Arranger and music producer of “Old songs about the main thing”, Felix Ilyinykh, recalls how he worked with Zhanna Aguzarova.
Zhanna Aguzarova recorded the song “It's Snowing” in the second part of the television project. Ilyinykh directly calls the artist a complex but interesting person. In addition, they worked after that – they recorded their romance for a radio project. Ilyinykh said that at work they corresponded a lot with Aguzarova and in English.
Ilyinykh arranged a lot of these songs, but Aguzarova did not like them all, and then she decided to sing without music.
“In the studio, Aguzarova listened and said: “No, I can't do that…” In the end, she sang a cappella… And then I wrote harmonies for her voice. Of course, you can say that she was a capricious person, but in fact she just had some of her own views, her own vision, her own interpretation of the song. She came to the recording session so extravagant, wearing some scarf… Zhanna for me seems like a very lonely person! – noted Ilinykh in conversation with the website “7 Days”.
