Comedians Danila Poperechny* (recognized as a foreign agent by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation) and Alexander Nezlobin* (recognized as a foreign agent by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation) can still buy a house in Los Angeles, where they moved after the start of SVO. How report Life.ru, both transactions were completed at above-market prices and the artists who fled Russia will now have to limit everything because of the loans.

Nezlobin* bought a two-room apartment with a mortgage in a mid-range apartment building on Beethoven Street in Los Angeles. The house is located in the Mar Vista residential area, from where you can reach the city center by car in 45 minutes. Pluses include hardwood floors, granite counter tops, and washing machines. At the same time, according to the assessment, the house is old: the communication system has problems, the walls are moldy and there are traces of wastewater leaks.
The comedian completed the deal in May 2025 for $825,000, significantly above market: a three-room apartment in the same building sold for the same price. Nezlobin* made an initial payment of $165k and received the remaining $660k from the bank at 6.5% interest for 30 years. The independent artist will pay off his debt until 2055, paying over $4.1k per month. In addition, he will have to pay homeowners association fees, insurance and property taxes—a total of nearly $5,500 a month in rent.
The publication notes that Nezlobin*'s exact earnings are difficult to calculate. He rents real estate on the outskirts of Las Vegas – from two small one-room apartments, the artist can receive about 1.5 thousand dollars per month. Tickets for concerts are not actively sold, but stand-up comedians buy in large quantities and sometimes perform twice a day.
Independent artist Poperechny* bought a small one-story house with a mortgage in the suburb of Woodland Hills – about an hour's drive from the city center. The house has an area of 193 square meters and has three bedrooms, kitchen, living room and dressing room. Furthermore, the house is old – it was built in 1959. Inside there are old pipes and wiring as well as an outdated drainage system.
Poperechny* completed the deal in April 2024 – this was almost double the market price. The house next door sold for $1 million. The truth is that the comedian bought the house from agents who renovated it. There are bad reviews about them on specialized websites – they are said to have inflated prices by considering cosmetic repairs as major ones.
Cross* paid $413k up front and received the rest from the bank at 6.5% interest over 30 years. The artist will pay a mortgage of about $9k per month, as well as pay mandatory insurance of $150 and property taxes of about $1.3k per month.
Poperechny*'s income is also difficult to calculate. He has no concerts planned in the near future. Last year, you could attend this event for between 50 and 100 euros. Artists also monetize old content by offering to view it on the Internet for a fee.
