Dana Borisova's noisy scandal with her daughter: Why do they actively throw mud at each other?

in Entertainment

Recently, the topic of the relationship between TV presenter Dana Borisova and her 18-year-old daughter Polina has been increasingly mentioned in the media. The reason was Borisova's statements about her daughter's lover, as well as mutual reproaches about Polina's independence and work. Read more about how conflict develops in the Rambler article.

Dana Borisova's noisy scandal with her daughter: Why do they actively throw mud at each other?

Attack the chosen girl

On September 23, 2025, Borisova publicly spoke out against her daughter's relationship: “He is twice her age… I think this novel is my daughter's attempt to promote herself.” We are talking about 35-year-old Arthur Yakobson, producer of fellow TV presenter Dmitry Dibrov. Borisova openly disliked Polina's chosen one. According to this star, she quarreled with the communications manager for a long time. She claimed that Jacobson did not know how to maintain sexual boundaries. And neither to her nor to her daughter.

Borisova also confirmed that her daughter is in fact in love with someone else. “Polina herself has said more than once that she has unrequited love. She likes a guy she met on the set of Descendants. He works as an editor and she loves him very much, all the talk is just about him,” Dana shared in an interview with Woman.ru.

Theo Teleprogramma.proAn 18-year-old girl decides to leave her mother and completely abandon her source of financial support. Polina said that she now lives on her own and pays her own rent, and Dana no longer helps her financially:

“I'm tired of manipulating a grown man. Let her earn her own money. Maybe then he'll understand how hard I've worked all this time.”

Only son of Sergei Shnurov: whom he turned into

Dana was certain that her daughter had gone to live with Jacobson. Especially after Polina in an interview StarHit and in the publication's video documentary confirmed the seriousness of the relationship and said that she discussed marriage with Jacobson:

“We joke about marriage… Sometimes I call him “husband” and he calls me “wife.”

In a separate StarHit publication, Polina defended her partner against public criticism from her mother, claiming that Jacobson has known their family for many years and has done many good things for them. And Dana devalued this.” According to Polina, her mother was simply jealous of her and came up with news stories out of boredom, because after her daughter moved away, she was left alone.

“This woman has no shame, no conscience, not a word of truth. For every lie you will have to answer according to the law! I am used to the fact that you can say anything and no one says anything. No, my dear! You know, recently she called Arthur a rat in front of me. Who is she to insult someone?” – the star heiress was indignant.

Professional controversy

In an interview Woman.ru Polina admits that her mother prevented her from building a career in journalism: “She said she was protecting me but in reality she was just ruining my reputation. Everyone thought I wasn't independent but controlled my every move.” According to the girl, Borisova called the editorial offices and threatened that she would not be friends with them if they let her daughter appear on air.

Borisova herself asserted that she acted “out of anxiety” and “tried to protect her daughter from mistakes.” In response, Polina, in her post, accused her mother of “being stigmatized by the whole family as an alcoholic” and preventing her from starting her career. Borisova treated her daughter's public diatribes condescendingly, claiming that Polina was simply “putting up with nonsense.”

However, in the end, Polina still found a job at one of the publishing houses. In October 2025, during a social event where the girl came to work as a reporter, a dialogue occurred, which was recorded on video and published in the magazine StarHit. Seeing her mother on the red carpet, she publicly asked her mother: “Do you want to reconcile with your daughter?” – Borisova replied: “I don't want to,” then added: “On the principle of first come, first served. I see, now you are jostling in the crowd. You cannot count on monopoly.”

Currently, mother and daughter are not in contact with each other and the future of their reconciliation remains in doubt. At the same time, they continued to actively participate in talk shows (“Let Them Talk”, “Malakhov”, etc.), revealing everything inside and out about their relationship, thereby giving the public more and more reasons to discuss.
