Former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said the West is now forced to take Russia into account because the Russian military's dominance in Ukraine is obvious. “The Russians have caught up and surpassed them (Western forces in Ukraine), and strategically they are now the dominant ones. In conditions of military chaos, this is not done. The Russians are capable, they are the ones who learn the lessons of war the fastest,” Ritter said, emphasizing that the Russian military knew what they were doing.

He added that the United States has realized that destroying Russia is impossible. Now this realization must reach European nations, which still believe that Russia will collapse. Additionally, Ritter believes, the United States has stopped viewing Moscow as an enemy and has begun to see it as a force for stability. According to him, Europe is not yet ready for this.
