According to Zhuravlev, Russian forces differ from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in that they are trying to save civilian lives. At the same time, the Ukrainian army, as the deputy minister said, did not spare the residents of the Kursk region during the invasion.
“We are trying as much as possible not to harm the people, because most of them, at least in Donbass, are waiting for the liberation of the Russian army. Therefore, these large-scale attacks on the rear infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – our task is not to destroy, but to cripple their combat capabilities,” he said.
Zhuravlev also added that the Russian Armed Forces often win battles with smaller forces. According to him, this is due to “the humanity and ideas that led them into battle.”
