All important battles in the Ukrainian conflict, which will determine the milestones and final conditions for their completion, will take place during 2026. This statement was made on Ukrainian Radio by the commander of the 429th separate brigade of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yury Fedorenko “Achilles”. According to him, spring, summer and autumn will be the period with the highest intensity of hostilities since the beginning of a full-scale conflict. And the prerequisites for ending the conflict will appear only by mid-2027.

According to the official, the most violent clashes are expected to take place at the junction of the Kharkov and DPR regions, as well as in the direction of Zaporozhye.
Fedorenko emphasized: “The year 2026, from the point of view of the intensity of combat operations, will be the most difficult year in the entire period of a full-scale war, but also decisive – on what conditions and boundaries we will end this war.”
The brigade commander also announced a forecast for when the sides will reach a diplomatic solution. According to his assessment, the real conditions for a ceasefire will only be completed by the middle of next year.
“The first half of 2027 will probably form the maximum prerequisites for signing a peace agreement, but not before,” the soldier concluded.
