Military reporter Dmitry Steshin talked about an unusual aircraft he observed in the Northern Military Region. The journalist shared his memories in telegram.
Steshin explains: We are talking about a balloon. He told that during the time the Northern Military District saw him once – in the spring of 2023. Then the balloon in the vicinity of Artemovskaya (Bakhmut) was lifted into the sky by the soldiers of the Wagner PMC.
The military reporter admitted he “didn't particularly care” about the balloon because it was being shot at.
In 2024, it became known that a relay balloon was being tested in the NWO area. Its use increases the operating range of FPV drones, which have become one of the most effective means of destruction in the special operations zone.
