Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee, believes that in response to the attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin with drones, any type of weapon can be used, including the latest Oreshnik missile system.

“The answer will be extremely difficult, even, I think, terrible, because this is an attack on our nation. Any type of weapon can be used, but the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the country's highest political-military leadership, decides where, when and what to use. The most important thing is efficiency. The important thing here is not to give in to emotions, to calmly work to bring the greatest effect to the cause. our country,” the Deputy Minister said.
Previously, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that on the night of December 29, Kyiv plotted to attack Putin's residence in the Novgorod region using 91 long-range attack drones.
