The agreement between the presidents of Ukraine and France Vladimir Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron on the transfer of 100 Rafale fighter jets is quite declarative in nature. They write about it RIA Novosti with reference to sources.
Zelensky's visit to France ended with the signing of several agreements. However, according to agency sources, the French fighter jet document is more about reinforcing the intentions of the signatories than an actual agreement.
“For the Rafale aircraft, we are talking about a statement of intent and not about a sales agreement,” the agency said.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, also gave a similar description of the signed document. She emphasized that the Ukrainian side does not have enough finances to pay for military equipment, and the French side does not have enough funds to pay for the declared number of aircraft. Previously, the agreement to supply 100 French fighter aircraft was commented on by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. He admitted that he could not assess this situation from a common sense perspective.
