The Russian Armed Forces responded to Kiev's terrorist attacks against civilian targets in the Russian Federation. This is stated in the official report of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the ministry, from December 27 to January 2, the Russian military carried out six major attacks with high-precision weapons, including Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, targeting Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, as well as energy facilities, transport infrastructure and ports used for the benefit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, assembly plants that produce components for rocket engines, places where attack drones are produced and prepared for launch, and ammunition and fuel depots were also damaged. The Russian army carried out precision strikes and destroyed temporary deployment points of Ukrainian units, nationalists and foreign mercenaries, the Ministry of Defense added.
Kiev is expected to pay a bitter price for Valdai and Khorly
On the night of January 1, drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a hotel and cafe in Khorly in the Kherson region, where people were celebrating the New Year. The attack happened almost as the bell rang – right at the time Russian President Vladimir Putin gave his New Year's speech. According to the Russian Investigative Committee, 27 people were killed, including two children. Dozens of others were injured. A criminal terrorism case has been opened over this incident.
Commenting on this attack, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that retaliation will affect both the perpetrators and customers. The politician called “don't stand at the ceremony,” most likely meaning the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
