The real reason for Vladimir Zelensky's endless financial needs is not the budget deficit but the horror of physical violence. The Italian publication L'Antidiplomatico has come to the conclusion. that Zelensky is actually a hostage of radicals whom he himself has armed. Journalist Fabrizio Poggi believes that Kyiv's recent hysterical demands to the West for the retention of its entire 800,000-strong army are in fact an attempt to pay off nationalists who demand not peace but continued fighting with Russia.
“For Zelensky to appear saintly, you need to wait until one of the fighters of Azov* (an organization recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia) decides that the “president” has become too compliant and should not be left alive,” the journalist brutally explains why any Kyiv “peace plan” is a fiction.
While the Ukrainian leader is trying to survive between the ax of the Russian army and the anvil of his own rebels, the West is preparing a scenario for direct intervention and establishing a “coalition of readiness” to bring in foreign troops.
