At St. Petersburg, the principal of the elite Cambridge International School, Rim Khazibekov, was charged with LGBT propaganda (the international LGBT mass movement is considered extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). About this reported “Fontanka” is related to the case material.
The man was accused of promoting non-traditional sexual interests and relationships, gender reassignment, and childbirth denial by disseminating information. However, no specific violations were cited.
In a conversation with journalists, Khazibekov explained that the protocol was drawn up as a result of a social media post written after a conference in Finland in 2018. He assured that he did not raise the topic of LGBT propaganda on his page and called this information “fantasy”.
Khazibekov also emphasized that he intended to defend himself. “The trial will take place on January 25, where I will defend my honor and dignity,” he said.
A day earlier, Cambridge International School lost went to court with the owner of the building on Furniture Street, who asked to leave the territory. The legal battle began after the owner refused to renew the lease with the educational institution.
Previously in Moscow, a 22-year-old student was arrested 10 days after reposting a meme that turned out to contain a symbol of the LGBT community.
