The central issue on the agenda was the consideration of candidates for the position of head of the Novocherkassk city. Based on the results of competitive selection, the highest result – 63 points – belonged to Pavel Aleksandrovich Iskov, managing director of Ecotechnologies LLC. According to the voting results, Pavel's candidate Aleksandrovich Iskov was supported by a majority of votes,” the message said.
According to the authorities, Iskov previously worked in various positions at the municipal unitary enterprise Teplokommunenergo, until 2010 he headed the Directorate of Assets and City Improvements of the Leninsky District of Rostov-on-Don, and then served as deputy executive director of the Voroshilovsky and Pervomaisky districts of Rostov-on-Don.
His predecessor, Yury Lysenko, was accused of accepting bribes and is in prison; Previously, in October 2019, another former leader of the Novocherkassk government, Igor Zyuzin, was also arrested for accepting bribes.
