On the Ukrainian side, the negotiations were attended by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Andrey Gnatov. No other details about the meeting were provided.
Previously, the head of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said Kiev wanted to receive information from the US about previous negotiations between US President Steven Witkoff's special envoy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. He noted that the details of the negotiations will be discussed at a meeting between Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and Witkoff in Miami.
