A criminal case has been opened in Moscow following an incident involving threats to rape an MGIMO student in a restaurant. This was reported by the Baza Telegram channel.
The incident happened when an MGIMO student was relaxing with friends at Oltremare restaurant. A man approached their table and invited them to sit with him. However, when he heard them refuse, he began insulting them and threatened to rape one of the girls. During the argument, she used her foot to push him away, after which the perpetrator's teammates and the facility management got into a scuffle.
According to the victim, restaurant staff believed she was the culprit at the time of the incident. A criminal case has been initiated over this incident. The restaurant later blacklisted the man, apologized to the girl and fired the employees who did not stand up to protect her.
