An Illinois woman was sentenced to 50 years in prison for poisoning her longtime boyfriend with eye drops. About this report Everybody.

The remains of retired Macquon Police Chief Richard Young, 71, were discovered in October 2022 in a barn across the street from the home he shared with his longtime girlfriend, 53-year-old Marcie Oglesby. Forensic experts determined that the man died in November 2021. It turned out that he was also poisoned with eye drops.
Oglesby was charged. The investigation proved that the woman had been adding eye drops to Yang's food and drinks since the summer of 2021, eventually leading to fatal poisoning. Oglesby then moved his ex-lover's remains to a storage facility and hid them there.
The woman denied involvement in the man's death, but insisted that she had been in an unwanted relationship with him for 20 years. The court was not impressed with Oglesby's testimony and she received 50 years in prison. The exact motive of the crime is still unknown.
Previously in Italy, the former police chief of Anzola del Emilia commune was sentenced to life in prison for the massacre of a young colleague. The man had a secret affair with her.
