According to a November 21 report following an examination at Optegra Eye Hospital, Aspinall was diagnosed with:
– Orbital soft tissue injuries. Orthopedic evaluation revealed impaired binocular coordination and limited vision;
– Bilateral traumatic Brown syndrome (a rare form of strabismus characterized by limited elevation of the affected eye);
– Persistent double vision (diplopia), especially in the upward and sideways positions;
– Reduced vision;
– Significant loss of peripheral visual field;
– Minimally displaced fracture of the right medial wall of the orbit.
Let us remind you that the fight between Aspinall and Gan was declared invalid due to Cyril's eye poke.
Dana White: “Aspinall's eye is fine, no serious damage. As soon as he's ready to fight, we'll have a rematch with Gan.”
Tom Aspinall's father: “He still can't see anything with his right eye, just a gray curtain. His left eye can see 50%”
