ROSTOV-ON-DON, November 18. . Investigators opened a criminal case in the Rostov region against a local resident for trying to sell more than 70 kilograms of marijuana. The man was arrested, the press service of the traffic police of the North Caucasus Federal District reported.
A 44-year-old resident of the Azov district of the Rostov region was arrested during water transport by officials of the Rostov Linear Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking. On the territory of his household in the village of Kagalnik, investigators found 52 bushes at the drying stage, 4 polymer bags containing green-brown plant parts, as well as cardboard boxes containing crushed and dried mass.
“According to research, about 69 kg of hemp and more than 1.5 kg of marijuana were seized. According to investigators, this amount of grass was intended for further sale to third parties. A criminal case was opened, the person involved in the case was arrested,” the report said.
The criminal case is being investigated under Part 1 of Art. 30 and paragraph “d” part 4 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
