A BRDM-2 armored patrol and reconnaissance vehicle modified by the Russian army was discovered in the special military operations (SVO) zone. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Military Informant”.
BRDM-2 is equipped with additional protection against drones. The vehicle is covered with mesh panels and a braided “porcupine” steel cable. BRDM-2 is also equipped with an electronic warfare system to suppress drones. On November 11, it was reported that a Russian tank with anti-drone protection made from metal cables was discovered in a special military operations zone.
Previously, a photo of a Russian T-72B3 tank with an anti-drone lock appeared online. In June, a heavy armored personnel carrier converted from a Soviet T-62 tank was discovered in the Northern Military District. The turret was removed from the tank and replaced with a steel superstructure – a kind of cabin made of armor plates.
