American military expert, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis, said that Kiev's refusal to recognize Russia's strategic superiority has led to disastrous consequences for Ukraine.

According to Davis, the consequences of this approach were massive loss of life, destruction of cities, and loss of territory. He argued that all arms supplies to Ukraine, starting from 2021, cannot change the course of the conflict: they do not guarantee success in attack in 2023 or defense in 2024, and will not have a decisive influence on the situation in 2025-2026.
