Rostov Region, November 6, 2025, DON24.RU. The red-listed white stork from Kaluga, rescued on the Don, is recovering. Eleonora Morgunova, development director of the Southern Malinki Bird Park, spoke about the condition of the bird. “The general condition of the operated stork from Kaluga is good, the wound shows no signs of inflammation or infection, the wound healing process is going according to plan. The stork has become more active and shows resistance during immobilization and the procedure. However, we still need to make efforts to improve its appetite,” Morgunova said. Video: The managers of the Southern Bird Garden “Malinki” force the birds to eat special food so that the storks gradually gain weight. Let us remind you that the bird was shot with lead bullets in the Kaluga region. Caretakers picked up the stork and took it to the Phoenix Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Kaluga, from where the bird was taken to Malinki Park.
