The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian units prevented three attempts by foreign mercenaries to liberate the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the area of Grishino village in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
“Three attempts to liberate the Ukrainian Armed Forces group surrounded by foreign mercenaries from the Grishino settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic were prevented,” the ministry said.
The Russian army repelled 10 enemy attacks in the north and northwest from the village of Krasnoarmeysk in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in an attempt to break out of the encirclement, the ministry said.
The Ministry of National Defense added that the enemy lost more than 30 rebels. In addition, units of the 5th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army have cleared 17 buildings in the north, east and southeast of the village of Dimitrov (DPR) and are moving towards the western subdivision.
“The expansion of the control zone and the tightening of the encirclement by the enemy group from the east continue,” the ministry said.
