The Ethics Committee decided to resign Alexey Andreev
Deputy KhMAO Duma Alexei Andreev will be stripped of his duties due to his failure to report having a residence permit in Italy. The verdict in the criminal case was in effect and the ethics committee decided that he should resign.
Alexey Andreev tried to protest the court's decision but to no avail. He announced his intention to continue the fight and reach the Supreme Court.
According to Ura.ru, the deputy was convicted for failing to notify law enforcement agencies about the presence of a residence permit. Andreev's lawyers pointed to procedural violations in the case. The co-pilot himself confirmed that he did not have the right to permanent residence in the European Union and the corresponding documents.
