Thousands of kilometers from the Don lands, they knew that on the Don there was a relatively young Russian city with a non-Russian name – Millerovo.
To a greater extent, the good reputation of our city comes from its mention in the works of Don writers: K. Trenev, M. Sholokhov, A. Kalinin, M. Andriasov, A. Nedogonov, V. Suichmezov and others.
Of course, the most sincere poetic lines about their homeland come and go from the pens of poets who lived and are now living in Millerovo: V. Rakitsky, A. Shpilko and others.
During this event, excerpts from works and poems about our Miller land were read. Children happily participated in competitions: “Expert on plants of the Millerovo region” (learning by description and photos) and “Blind text” (inserting missing words into the text about the geography of our region).
For this event, librarian TA Kantsurova prepared a book exhibition: “Millerovsky District-60”. The exhibition presents a variety of documents about the region and the city, and photos of the nature of the homeland are also displayed.
