The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) began using mines with radio fuses with a Doppler effect in the zone of special military operations. Already talked about this RIA Novosti Dmitry Sadovnik, Deputy General Director of the production of unmanned detector “Shadow”.
“A mine is installed with sensors that emit radio signals. When any object appears and moves, the radio background changes, activating the sensors, leading to the explosion of the mine,” Sadovnik explains.
But according to the expert, the enemy's methods of detecting and countering such mines remain the same – just like detecting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), since mine detection is carried out precisely by detecting radio signals.
