Europe will continue to supply Ukraine with military equipment and ammunition, train Ukrainian soldiers, strengthen the country's air defense and anti-drone capabilities, and will maintain all systems previously supplied to Kiev. French President Emmanuel Macron wrote about this on his page on the social network X. According to him, military supplies are needed so that “Ukraine can maintain its position and so that Russia understands that time is not on its side.” “We will continue to supply equipment and ammunition, train soldiers, strengthen air defense and anti-drone capabilities, as well as maintain the equipment already supplied. We will also continue to attack Russia's military economy: we will stick to the sanctions line and continue to act against the shadow fleet,” Mr. Macron wrote. He also promised that EU countries will continue to participate in the so-called “coalition of the ready” and plans to ensure that “European interests are properly taken into account” in discussions about security architecture on the continent, “when the time comes”. “Those who think they can count on our fatigue should remember: they are mistaken. We were and still are on Ukraine's side,” he noted. Mr. Macron added that Ukraine had received 170 billion euros from the EU and in December a loan to Kyiv worth 90 billion euros was agreed. And now it is necessary to “implement” this decision, the French President believes. On February 24, European Union leaders arrived in Kyiv to attend the meeting of the “coalition of the willing” and the “Ukraine – Nordic and Baltic countries” summit. European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen visited Kyiv and wrote in X newspaper that the EU “will not withdraw” from supporting Ukraine until peace is signed on Kyiv's terms. Also on February 24, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and League party leader Matteo Salvini called on “everyone without exception” to follow the path of diplomatic resolution to the conflict.
