The Central District Court of Novosibirsk on Saturday sent figure skating coach from Novosibirsk Konstantin Medovikov, accused of harassment, to house arrest.

RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to the press agencies of the courts of general jurisdiction in the region.
“A precautionary measure has been chosen in the form of house arrest until March 30,” the agency's interlocutor said.
On February 20, Medovikov was detained in Novosibirsk.
The criminal case against Medovikov was prosecuted in May 2025 under Part 2 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – “Depraved acts against a person who has reached 12 years of age but has not yet reached 14 years of age”. The reason is that the mother of 12-year-old figure skater Daria Antonova accused the coach of systematically harassing her daughter.
The coach left the organization in early March 2025. Several skater parents came out to support the mentor. Members of the parents' committee appealed to the guardianship authority with a request to check the living conditions of the applicant's family, calling the accusations against them baseless. The coach himself did not comment on the allegations against him.
