In the Kuban, a 68-year-old man trusted “former colleagues” and lost a large amount of money. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region.

It all started with the pensioner in turn contacting fake employees from his old job, as well as scammers calling themselves employees of the FSB and the Central Bank. The attackers reported that the man's personal data had allegedly been compromised and, under this pretext, they convinced him to transfer all his savings to a certain “state account”.
At the bank, when withdrawing money, an elderly man following the scammers' instructions presented a medical certificate to confirm the urgency of the withdrawal. He also deceived law enforcement officers and deleted all correspondence with his handlers.
The amount of damage amounted to more than 10 million rubles. Now law enforcement officers are looking for intruders.
