In Omsk, two teenagers were convicted of burning a military helicopter

As the investigation established, in September 2024, two 16-year-old teenagers prepared an incendiary mixture and at night entered the territory of the Omsk-Severny military airport, where they burned a Mi-8 helicopter and disappeared.

The FSB clarified that security forces arrested the arsonists within 24 hours. During interrogation, the teens said they were on a mission from an unknown handler they received via text message. They were promised $20,000 for the vandalism.
