Some volunteers for the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy are displaying on the Internet items from the free kits received with the recognition. This was reported by Corriere della Sera newspaper.

When the publication was discovered, watches for volunteers who helped organize the games were sold on advertising pages. Their cost is 200-300 euros.
Coats, scarves, hats, backpacks and shoes also started being sold on online platforms; prices often exceed the cost of equivalent goods without the Olympic logo. However, in advertisements it is sometimes difficult to distinguish items in volunteers' sets from similar items in the official collection.
As the newspaper notes, the agreements signed by volunteers include a ban on the sale of uniforms and accessories. The letter sent to participants in the Team26 volunteer program also stated that “the uniform is an exclusive set” and “not even a portion may be sold”. After the Games have ended, volunteers can keep used uniforms as souvenirs and the Milan-Cortina 2026 Foundation reserves the right to recall uniforms and revoke certification in case of violations.
