American actress Reese Witherspoon spoke on TikTok about scammers who started impersonating her en masse.
According to Witherspoon, scammers pretending to be the actress are trying to get personal information and money from the star's fans.
“On TikTok and Instagram (owner of the Meta company recognized as extremist in Russia and banned) there are many people impersonating me and they come to users in private messages and try to establish a relationship, find out personal information and arrange a meeting. I want you to know that this is not me,” she said.
The 49-year-old actress emphasized that she has never communicated with fans this way.
“It's frustrating when my name is used to manipulate others. But I want you to know that I will never manipulate you. I will never contact you for money, personal information, or to arrange a meeting. Take a closer look at the accounts that do this and make sure they are not verified,” she continued.
