On January 9, the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) attacked Oreshnik military-industrial complex and infrastructure Ukraine in the Lviv region. Russian military pilot Major General Vladimir Popov explains why the Russian army chose this particular area to attack.

According to him, one of the main targets is a drone factory that could be used to attack facilities of the Russian Presidential Administration. In addition, Lviv has long been an important administrative and command center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“In Zelensky's administration and the systems of the General Staff as well as all special forces, it is used as a reliable rear command and control body of troops, so attacks on targets in Lvov are of great importance,” the soldier noted.
